Qualifications for the Insurance Customer Service Representative:
  • 4-40 (Property & Casualty) Insurance License is required and 1 year work experience in insurance agency.
  • Must be coachable

Responsibilities for the Insurance Customer Service Representative:
  • Assisting Customers: CSR's primary responsibility is to provide assistance to customers who have inquiries or need support regarding their insurance policies. This can involve answering phone calls, responding to emails, and addressing customer concerns or complaints.
  • Policy Management: CSR's often handle policy management tasks, such as processing policy changes, updating customer information, and ensuring accurate and up-to-date records. They may also assist with policy renewals, cancellations, or endorsements.
  • Providing Insurance Information: CSR's are responsible for providing customers with information about insurance products, coverage options, and policy details. They may explain policy terms, answer coverage-related questions, and help customers make informed decisions about their insurance needs.
  • Claims Support: CSR's often assist customers with the claims process. This may involve gathering necessary information and documentation, submitting claims on behalf of the customers, and providing updates on the status of claims. They may also facilitate communication between customers and claims adjusters.
  • Sales Support: In some cases, CSR's may provide support to the sales team by generating insurance quotes, preparing proposals, and assisting with policy applications. They may also follow up with potential customers, provide information on additional coverage options, and cross-sell or upsell insurance products.
  • Problem Resolution: When customers encounter problems or issues, CSR's work to resolve them in a timely and satisfactory manner. This can involve investigating complaints, escalating issues to supervisors or relevant departments, and ensuring that customer concerns are addressed appropriately.

Pay: $35,000.00 - $49,322.00 per year
