People Moves: Courtney to Lead Nationwide’s Newest E&S Brokerage Property Unit

Nationwide, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio, appointed Tonya Courtney to lead its new excess and surplus (E&S) brokerage property unit with the goal of opening for business in the second half of the year.

Prior to joining Nationwide, Courtney served as regional vice president for Arch Insurance Company, where she led the Southeast region E&S property team. She joined Nationwide in December with more than 30 years of experience in commercial lines insurance.

The new E&S Brokerage Property unit will focus on providing tailored solutions for hard-to-place property risks across various industries. The unit will deliver a comprehensive suite of non-admitted wholesale products and services, designed to address high-risk scenarios requiring specialized underwriting expertise.
